Fall Activities in Houston

October is finally here and if you’re anything like us you want to celebrate the season as much as possible- hay rides, pumpkin carving, apple cider, etc! We’ve compiled a short list below of a few Fall happenings around town to help you enjoy the new season and this beautiful weather.

Enjoy fall festivities including hay rides, tour the scarecrow scenes, train rides, and receive a free pumpkin for every child admission! The Fall Festival kicks off October 1, 2015 and the ranch is open 7 days a week for the entire month.

download2015 Autumn Art & Texas Wine Festival in Old Town Spring (Saturday Oct. 3rd-Sunday Oct. 4th)

The Autumn Art & Texas Wine Festival is the newest wine festival to Old Town Spring. You will be able to taste wines from around the great Lone Star State while strolling through Old Town Spring and viewing some great original art from many of the states talented artists.

kemah-oktoberfest-2015-55Kemah Oktoberfest (Friday Oct. 9th-Sunday Oct. 11th)

Join other beer enthusiasts at this annual festival under the giant beer tent in Kemah for food, draft brews, German dancers, live musical performances, and more. Remember to drink responsibly!

Tickets are $4 on Friday, $8 Saturday or Sunday and free for kids under 12.


2nd Annual Oak Ridge North Fall Festival (Saturday Oct. 10th)

Don’t miss the 2nd Annual Oak Ridge North Fall Festival 2015 on Saturday, October 10 at Marilyn Edgar Park from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Family friendly games, awesome prizes, face painting, music, vendor booths, pumpkin patch, family photos, Kona Ice, concessions, and more! Admission is free and open to the public.

Explore a collection of creative, full-sized scarecrows while enjoying Fall family fun. Free activities include live music and entertainment, apple bobbing, face painting, pumpkin decorating, a costume parade and more. For a $5 wristband, you can enjoy everything at a small carnival features a rock wall, games and rides. Food trucks and local Fulshear restaurants will be on hand selling tasty treats.
