It’s no secret that everything really is bigger in Texas! The same goes for the amazing cities that call the Lone Star state home, too! We’re lucky enough to have some of the best cities in the country and here’s a few on our “must see” list during your next road trip!

#1.) Austin—The state’s capital is home to the best BBQ, natural green space, the most LIVE music venues per capita in the nation, and an eccentric culture that makes it one of the most desired tourist destinations (and places to live) in the US! Planning your next trip to Austin?

Here’s some must see spots:

Ladybird Lake—Whether you’re hiking, biking, paddle boarding, or kayaking, Ladybird Lake is an iconic landmark where you can truly enjoy all the beautiful nature that Austin has to offer and some gorgeous views of the skyline. Check-out the link to discover all the fun activities available!

South Congress Avenue Shopping—Affectionately called “SoCo”, this must-see shopping area offers unique, Austin based boutiques with urban, designer styles for everyone.

Congress Bridge Bats—The Congress Avenue bridge spans Lady Bird Lake in downtown Austin and is home to the largest urban bat colony in North America known as the Congress Bridge Bats. This colony is estimated at 1.5 million Mexican free-tail bats. Each night from around mid-March to early November, the Congress Bridge Bats bats emerge from under the bridge to blanket the sky as they head out to forage for food. This event has become one of the most spectacular and unusual tourist attractions in Austin Texas.

La Barbecue— Talk to any native Texan and everyone has their favorite “go-to” Austin BBQ spot! There’s SO many delicious options, but, we are just sharing one of our favs! La Barbecue doesn’t go a day without endless lines to get a taste of their succulent brisket, house made spicy sausage, giant ribs, and a whole lotta delicious sides. They keep serving it up until they run out, so, get there early—trust us, it’s worth the wait!

The 4.2 acre complex provides a look back in time as well as unmatched architectural history that all can appreciate!

The Riverwalk—This world-renowned 15-mile waterway offers shopping, food and fun. Tour the magical and quaint paths along the water, by foot or boat tour, each offering a unique perspective of the city’s history and culture. This is a “must-see” especially during the holidays when the entire waterway is lined with holiday lighting displays and brings the magic of the season to life!

Natural Bridge Caverns— Explore Natural Bridge Caverns, Texas’ largest and one of the world’s premier show caves. Take a guided tour through amazing underground chambers.
