One of our operating pillars is to give back to the communities we serve.  We have sponsored the Rodeo Houston Calf Scramble for several years and always find joy in following the adventures of our sponsees. We are extremely excited to have two very active and Amazing sponsees this year, Skye and Ty.  We thought everyone would enjoy hearing about the experience these young leaders are having in the program.

Calf sramble 1 | Amazing Calf Scramble Update | Amazing Spaces Storage CentersWe’d like to first introduce you to our first Calf Scramble Sponsee, Skye! Skye was absolutely thrilled to catch a calf in this year’s Calf Scramble.  So thrilled that she ended up talking to breeders the very next day.  After speaking with several different breeders for calves, she decide to visit her favorites.  She ended up finding her calf in Yoakum, Texas in April.  Her chosen calf is an absolutely adorable Brahman Heifer.  Skye’s Heifer will be ready for pickup in June.  In the meantime, Skye is keeping busy preparing her pin and gathering all the necessary supplies to care for her sweet calf.

Our second Calf Scramble Sponsee is named Ty! Like Skye, Ty has been extremely busy since securing his calf in the Rodeo Houston Calf Scramble.  Among his many impressive activities, Ty was elected Vice President of the Mayde Creek FFA and awarded a buckle for High Sales, a plaque for Most Active Members, a plaque for Star Chapter Degree Member, all while achieving his Chapter Degree. Wow!

After a few licks from the calf and some observations from Ty, the decision was made! Ty named his calf Miss SCC Bahama Mamma 146/7, also known as “Big Mama”.  Ty will be able to bring Big Mama home on May 19th and preparing for her first show at the Texas State Show in College Station in June.  We’re so excited for him! In the meantime, Ty continues to stay busy, by participating in various competitions and joining the Texas Junior Brahman Association and the American Junior Brahman Association.

We are beyond Amazed by both our Calf Scramble Sponsees. We can’t wait to hear more from these truly Amazing young leaders.
